DELHI TO VRINDAVAN : PART 1 | WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO REACH VRINDAVAN FROM DELHI | TOLL PRICES OF YAMUNA EXPRESSWAY

It is a place, which has witnessed divine love. And that is what you would also feel, in the very first sight. A land filled with spirituality; with a lot of temples in there. And some great stories and facts to it, which amuses everyone. Welcome to the land of Krishna - "VRINDAVAN ".

Vrindavan is the place where Lord Krishna grew up. And this is the place, where he met the love of his life- Deity Radha. Lord Krishna is considered to be a god, who get's pleased very easily. Due to which curtains falls and are re-open in seconds at the Banke Bihari Temple. This place has a lot to offer.

What is the best way to reach Vrindavan? Toll prices of Yamuna expressway?
Are their proper conveniences on Yamuna expressway?

I am here to answer all your questions and to give you a brief look of Vrindavan. I am dividing my trip to vrindavan in two parts. In the first one, you will get to know everything related to the Yamuna expressway. In the second one, we will have a brief look at the city of Vrindavan. Join me in and I promise you a journey filled with a lot fun.

 Let's begin!!

Vrindavan is just 163 km from Delhi and it would take around 2.5 hours to reach there. And thus it was quite convenient for us to reach there. From Delhi, you can take the Yamuna Expressway. That is probably the best way to reach there and the facilities on the way makes it more convenient. It has public toilets and restaurants after every few kilometres. The toll charges of Yamuna expressway from Delhi to Mathura exit is ₹ 275 for one way. And for a round trip, it is ₹ 480.

Being on a trip would be incomplete without some yummy food and some stoppages. Although on this expressway, there isn't much to look out at. But they have definitely kept you sorted, when it comes to food. You can find everything on your way from Subway to Pizza Hut to Punjabi Dhaba's. The price is also kept decent and mostly every restaurant has decent pricing.

The price can be ignored for once. But if the food isn't upto the mark, then that is the most disappointing thing. On our way, we stopped at Shiva Dhaba for tea and parantha's (Typical Punjabi breakfast). Earlier I have tried there tea only and that kulhad tea is simply amazing. I can go back to have that tea again and again. But the parantha's ruined it all. They weren't cooked properly and in the name of stuffed parantha. The stuffing was nowhere to be found. You can't find it with naked eye and thus the only thing to be found in it was flour and butter. I mean serving a lot of butter over a pathetic parantha can't save you. Although my mom and everyone thought that it wasn't that bad. I think they were just being nice, because it was actually really bad.

So eating parantha's there can be a bad choice. But you can't miss on their tea, as it is really good. Do try out their tea.

CNG and petrol pumps is the other thing which is important when you are on a road trip. This is probably the first thing, which has to be taken care off. As who would want to get stuck at a place where you can't find petrol pumps?Right. Yamuna expressway takes care of that and thus has pumps at few distances. Nitrogen gas for tyres is also available there, as the tyre's tend to burst because of the cemented roads and the fact that speed automatically increases on highways. Thus, do take care of that and maintain your speed. This expressway has seen a lot of accidents as well. But people not being aware and careful is what also leads to such accidents.

One thing which makes me love the whole idea of this expressway, is the fact it provides employment to many. All the village people, who lived around this whole place got jobs because of this. Isn't that fantastic?

The fact that people of this place had to travel far for jobs, got work near their place. I can even imagine the amount of exposure they must be experiencing here. This is also one of the things which makes me love it.

They doesn't stop here. Yamuna expressway also has people out there for emergencies. Highways are anyway exposed to accidents and emergency conditions. Thus having an ambulance ready for help with people there who have basic knowledge of medicine is amazing. I have also noticed police vans, present there to handle situations.

Basically, you can see the facilities which are expected. Thus I really liked the way, this place is regulated. This is everything I noticed on my way from Delhi to Mathura.

To know about places to visit in Vrindavan. And the food and affordable accommodations. Stay tuned, as I will give that all to you in my next blog. Till then;

STAY HAPPY AND KEEP EXPLORING,
YOURS TRULY
